Fallen Stars..

In preparation for the upcoming 2010-2011 NBA Season, teams have been busy filling up their line-ups. Team executives have been tracking down and signing players from arguably the best free agent market ever. Miami Heat made the best move by clearing up their salary cap and signing the so called ¨Super Friends¨ Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and Lebron James.

The NBA will also welcome the new batch of rookies, like John Wall, Evan Turner, DeMarcus Cousins, Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward, that will try to make a name for themsleves.

Through all the hype surrounding league, many fans forgot about some of the aging free agents that had been in the league for some time. These players had been in player trades, controversies and battling injuries. Fans might say that they should retire for them to end their career on a high note but these players ego still tells them that they can still play.

Aging players are usually drawn to sign for a championship bound teams for them to end their career as champions.

Notable Aging Free Agents:

Allen Iverson- "The Answer". As his nickname says, yes he is the answer to the Philadephia 76ers' problems when they drafted this gifted player. His quickness and crossover moves made him hard to defend. He became the smallest NBA MVP, only at 6'0". He also is a trendsetter, with a gangster image, cornrows hairstyle and arm sleeves. Iverson was filled with controversies throughout his career. His ego is so big that critics always tags him as uncoachable and not a team player. Rumor has it that the Miami Heat in not contented with their Superfriends and company that they are in negotiations with the Answer.

Shaquille O'neal- These 7'2" Future Hall of famer, former MVP, 4-time Champ, 18 year veteran still wants to play. Now he's the one chasing Kobe Bryant's 5 rings for he often said before that Kobe couldnt do it wthout him. Maybe its time for him to pass the torch to the new "Superman" in Dwight Howard. He has nothing else to prove. Go home and plant Kamote.


Tracy Mcgrady- A prolific scorer who lead the league in scoring in a season. Who could ever forget the game against the San Antonio Spurs in which he scored 13 points(four consecutive 3´s) in the last 33 seconds of the game. He is just like his cousin Vince Carter. Athleticism and highlight plays gave him a name in the NBA. Its is rumored that the two winningest teams in the NBA, the Celtics and Lakers are battling to acquire the services of T-mac.

Juwan Howard- Before he was drafted to the NBA, he was part of the Michigan "Fab Five" with Chris Webber and Jalen Rose. He had a stellar start on his NBA career and became an allstar in 1996. He became the 1st NBA player ever to sign a 100 million dollar deal. Many fans were disappointed and even booed him in home games for his mediocre performance.

Michael Finley- A great scorer and a former slam-dunk champion, Michael Finley was one of the most exciting players to watch in his career. He can shoot and drive to the basket, an offensive threat. After being traded by the Dallas Mavericks, his career went into a slump. He rarely even play on last years playoff games with the Boston Celtics.

Penny Hardaway- He was a superstar back in the 90's where he teamed up with Shaq in Orlando. After several injury plagued season and player trades. He decided to hang his jersey on 2008. Now, he is making talks to the Miami Heat executives for a possible comeback and a chance for him to be part of a championship team.

  2. the lakers should sign their summer league players, ebanks and caracter... their hustle and defense will help them win another title.. ebanks reminds me of trevor ariza... caracter is a solid frontcourt player...
